Misty Fjords National Monument, located in Alaska about 22 miles from Ketchikan, along the Canadian boarder, is a spectacular coastal ecosystem accessible only by boat and floatplane. This wilderness area is notable for numerous fjords and glacier carved canals, lush rain forests and misty rain clouds. The region's abundant wildlife includes bears, moose, mountain goats, sea lions, whales, porpoises and migratory birds.
